The "William's Hill" - Mt. Kenya prep hike

Our last prep hike for the “Mt. Kenya” August 2020.
This will be an extended hike all the way to Nyambari. (Uplands) a minimum of 9 hrs.

William’s Hill is located about 75 Km North West of Nairobi. It is part of the Kikuyu Escarpment and lies south west of it..
The hike will start off at the small Italian catholic Church along Mahi-Mahiu road as we will head to the foot/base of the William’s Hill. Our Hike up will lead us to the summit where we will have lunch and snacks.From there we will head up to the other side of the Nairobi – Nakuru highway which is the upper tier of the Rift Valley View point. This will be our end point as we will find our Bus ready to take us back to Nairobi. The whole Trek will take approximately 7 – 9 hours.

– All participants must have a an approved 3 Ply Face Mask with Anti Bacterial Filter
– Sharing snacks and meals will not be allowedDress code:-
– Casual slacks or cargo pants
– Comfy hiking shoes (No Sandals)
– No Shorts
– Carry an extra T-Shirt
– A wide brim hat to protect you from the sunWhat to carry:-
– Must have a medium size backpack to carry your water, snacks etc. etc
– A pocket size hand sanitiser (Mandatory)
– Packed lunch
– Government issued ID
– Headlamp/Flashlight
– Hat / cap for sun protection (Hot sun)
– Snacks, energy bars etc
– Sun screen
– Camera
– Plenty of water** (2 – 4) ltrs

Cost KSh. 2,800

– Round trip transport
– Guide and community fees
– 1 litre water, carry a non-disposable water bottle
